Punisher bass review

Cort Gene Simmons

Designed by the KISS punisher bassĀ mastermind himself!

Designed in 1992 by Gene Simmons himself, the Punisher bass was created to solve problems the KISS bassist kept finding with other basses.

“I hate basses with their necks buried in the body. It prevents me from reaching the high notes. Also I do not like the sound of most basses. They are usually too round and you can’t hear the notes. So I designed the Punisher to deliver a BIG SOUND.” – Gene Simmons

The punisher bassĀ is an update of the original with a mahogany body and bolt-on Canadian rock maple neck. Its rosewood fretboard is adorned with white pearloid diamond inlays. Mighty Mite MMPB-4 and MMJB-R pickups provide the kind of growl that Gene needs when he’s conquering the biggest stages the world over. It’s all packaged with a killer black finish with white trim. Includes a Gene Simmons custom softshell case with his image. Includes case.
